Creating a Brochure

Did You Know?

  • The human skeletal remains were discovered during construction of the Ted Weiss Federal Building. Federally funded construction projects are mandated to comply with Section 106 in the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
    • Section 106 requires Federal agencies to consider the effects of their projects on historic properties and to provide various preservation organizations with a reasonable opportunity to comment.
  • Preliminary archaeological excavation discovered the human skeletal remains 30 feet below the city's street level on Broadway.
