Water Log
Record your water activities and water consumption for one week. Then make a plan to reduce the amount of water you use each week. Determine the number of gallons you want to use for each activity and solve equations to show how you will achieve your goal.
Did You Know?
- Watering yards and gardens consumes an estimated 30 to 60% of drinking water in the United States. Much of this water is wasted by over-watering and misdirected sprinklers that water sidewalks and driveways.
- The United States uses about 170 gallons of water per person per day. In Australia, the average per capita water use is 36 gallons. Thanks to water conservation, Australia uses far less water per person than the United States, but still enjoys the same high quality of life.
